Water rises as thin film from a never-still sea
Warmed of a never-still sun.
Whirled in rising air
The sky curtains.
Massed mist forms
Storms on warmed worn earth.
The billowed sky
Veils myriad faces, distant places
Here and gone.
Darkening day beckons.
It shadows and sighs
A night-borne silence.
At end of day
Traffic rumble and cricket trill
Draw forth tears and yearning
As I search for you once again.
